Annual Report 2000

In 2000 the Institute implemented the changes to its organizational structure that had been announced in 1999 and drafted a new medium-term policy paper for the years ahead. We were fortunate to receive several interesting and in some cases unusual collections. Visitors to our website grew by two-thirds to over 750,000.
We celebrated our 65th anniversary with a conference on Global Labour History in the 21st Century to highlight our new research agenda. Financially, we ran a small surplus on normal operations, but a couple of onetime write-offs pushed us in the red. Turnover increased by ca 2 per cent to euro 5.572m.
