In the 1920s a large group of Ukrainians lived in Berlin. From 1929 onwards the Ukrainska Gazeta, or Ukrainische Zeitung appeared in Berlin. The subscription list indicates that the newspaper sold as well in Western Europe, the US, and Canada as it did in Ukraine. The issue of 3 November 1929 reports on preparations for the 12th commemoration of the October Revolution. The journal writes about delegations from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany departing for Moscow.
