“When, as a doctor, I am called in to help a vegetarian patient suffering from typhus, pneumonia or even smallpox, I am not afraid that he will die. In all cases of acute disease, it is my principle to prescribe a mix of just milk and barley water. After a cup of this fluid, one is allowed to eat some fruit or a tomato in order to prevent constipation. Thanks to this utterly simple medication, even those suffering from the most serious illnesses recovered in no time.“
