Hans Kok Murdered?

Amsterdam squatter Hans Kok had a confrontation with the police during an eviction action. The circumstances of his death in a police cell on 25 October 1985 are still unclear. The event shocked the squatters' movement in Holland and Western Europe. Was Hans Kok mistreated, killed by the authorities, or was his death non-violent, and related to the use of drugs? Demonstrators in Milan on 9 November 1985 wrote their answer on a banner: 'Hans Kok assassinato dallo stato'.
