On  20 April 1895, the future Dutch queen young princess Wilhelmina and her mother, Emma, visited Amsterdam in an open carriage that went from Central Station to Dam Square.
A carriage with a fake banker, an army general, and a priest wearing pig and donkey masks and solemnly waving to the public joined the retinue. They managed to drive along for quite a while, but finally were arrested by the police. Once again, this was a playful action of the socialist newspaper Recht voor Allen and Domela Nieuwenhuis.

Later the same year the regent and the future queen, back in Amsterdam, were made fun of by a socialist crowd. They had bought whistles for one cent, specially made for the occasion. An anarchist, Abraham Reens  initiated this concert.
