The Mexican anarchist periodical Regeneración number 1, volume 1, April 1, 1937, harks back to an earlier magazine with a similar title and outlook. A Regeneración founded by the famous brothers Jesús and Ricardo Flores Magon appeared from 1900 to 1918. It was at its peak during the Mexican revolution in 1910, when Emiliano Zapata borrowed his ideas about expropriation and restoration of land to peasants from the Magon brothers. The new 1937 Regeneración is mainly devoted to the Spanish comrades fighting in the Civil War. In 1946 once again Regeneración was reborn as the organ of the Federación Anarquista de Mexico (founded December 26, 1945).
