Foma Kachura

 

Carried out a failed attack on Ivan Obolenski, governor of the Kharkov region, in July 1902. Kachura, a woodworker, was specifically selected for the purpose by Gershuni because he was of peasant stock.
Following the failed attack he was sentenced to life imprisonment. After about a year he agreed to become a police informant and betrayed a number of fellow party members. (Collection PSR, IISH)
