Historical Life Course Studies is a new peer-reviewed No-Fee Open Access journal of the European Historical Population Network (EHPS-Net). You can find Volume 1 at the EHPS-Net Website: http://www.ehps-net.eu/journal. The journal aims to publish results of studies based on data from large historical databases, as well as methodology including programming, database management and computer sciences in that specific field of research. The journal publishes both research articles and methodological articles.
Historical Life Course Studies is of interest to all scholars who are looking for reliable contributions in the broad fields of historical demography, epidemiology, social and economic history, historical migration studies, and historical sociology. The journal is of special interest to scholars (database managers, programmers, social scientists) who are concerned with methodological issues involved in working with large historical databases.
The journal is supported by the European Science Foundation (ESF), the Scientific Research Network Historical Demography (FWO Flanders) and the International Institute of Social History (IISH).
IISH senior researcher Professor Kees Mandemakers is the chair of the EHPS-Net Steering Committee, and the website is hosted and maintained at the IISH.
