On Saturday, September 30 Afrovibes and ZAM-magazine organised in Amsterdam a commemmoration of the Culture in Another South Africa festival and conference, which was organised almost 25 years ago by the Dutch Anti-Apartheid Movement. In December 1987 almost 300 South African artists and cultural workers came to Amsterdam to perform together and discuss the cultural future of South Africa. During the commemmoration the film Before Dawn about CASA was shown, theater director James Ngcobo reflected on the significance of CASA now and the CASA-choir performed (whose archive also will come tot the International Institute of Social History shortly).
