Lonely and obscure, the Dutch poet Freek van Leeuwen died June 9, 1968. Together with Jef Last he established the Workers' and Writers' Collective Links Richten (Aiming Left) in 1932. Links Richten wanted to use art as a weapon in the class struggle and fought "bourgeois" ideas of art. The magazine Links Richten was only published for two years, but interest in the publication revived during the student movement in the seventies.
