The posters of the Amsterdam temples to pop music De Melkweg and Paradiso are now online available in the Memory of the Netherlands website, an image library making available the online collections of more than 100 Dutch museums, archives, and libraries.
The collection consists of 5000 posters from the collections of the IISH, dating from from 1970-1999. For decades, these cultural centers have set the image of Amsterdam as the European capital of pop music. Theater and dance, films, photography and media art have always been part of their programs. In addition, socially relevant events took place there as well.
