Fall 2016, the IISH is the principal program partner of Pakhuis Willem de Zwijger (Amsterdam) in the series ‘The Future of Work’. In this series the trends, practices and future of employment are discussed.
The IISH conducts advanced research on the global history of work, workers, and labour relations and preserves a large collection in this area.
Precisely the results of historical research contribute to a better understanding of the present. The ISSH will therefore provide a solid academic contribution to the series.
Subjects that will be discussed are among others: labour market flexibility, robotics, moonlighting, discrimination and coercion.
