Dr Siagzar Berelian recently donated a rich collection of archive and library materials regarding the social and political history of Iran 1960-2000.
Dr Berelian is an established political activist based in Britain.
The Berelian collection contains unique and well-archived publications, leaflets and pamphlets by Iranian opposition, both inside the country as well as in exile during the years before the Revolution of 1979, the revolutionary years of 1978-1982 and the post revolutionary period till 2000.
The documents originate from students, women, labour, political parties and groups, ethnic and religious entities. There is a library associated to this archive, which comprises some fifty percent of the collection. It includes the most comprehensive collection of books published outside Iran during the last forty years of the twentieth century.
The collection also contains rare audio-video documents on the Iranian revolutionary days.
