This week the 2015 Journal Citation Reports® 2015, one of the most authoritative resources for evaluating peer-reviewed publications, and the source of the annual Journal Impact Factors (JIF), were released.
The International Review of Social History impact factor for 2015 is 0.511, which is one of the highest ever achieved for the journal. IRSH is ranked 17th out of 87, up from 35th last year.
Impact factor
The impact factor (IF) of academic journals is a measure reflecting the yearly average number of citations to articles published in that journal. Journals with a high impact factor are seen as more prestigious.
