From January to March 1934 there was a bitter controversy between Abe Kahan of the Yiddish Forverts in New York and Abramovič about the political situation in Germany. Abramovič wrote very critical articles about developments in Nazi Germany, but Kahan thought that he exaggerated and wanted to have the articles altered.
