Op woensdag 3 juli jl. heb ik een presentatie gegeven over (mijn werk met) de anti-apartheid en zuidelijk Afrika collectie van het IISG en de bijdrage van de Nederlandse anti-apartheidsbeweging aan de strijd tegen de apartheid tijdens het jaarlijkse National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, Zuid-Afrika. Die presentatie was zowel een onderdeel van het Think!Fest programma van het festival als de aanloop naar een driedaagse conferentie over de Legacies of Apartheid Wars waar ik eveneens aan heb deelgenomen. Ook dit bezoek werd, net als mijn Zuid-Afrika archief-overdrachtsproject, gefinancierd door de Nederlandse ambassade in Zuid-Afrika.
Last Wednesday July 3 I gave a presentation about (my work with) the anti-apartheid en southern Africa collection of the International Institute of Social History and the contribution of the Dutch anti-apartheid movement to the struggle against apartheid during the annual National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa. This presentation was part of the Think!Fest programme of the festival and a prelude to a three-days conference on the Legacies of Apartheid Wars in which I have been participating too. This visit was, as my South Africa archival transfer project, sponsored by the Dutch embassy in South Africa.
