In 2010 Jan Lucassen and Leo Lucassen published the IISH Research Paper The mobility transition in Europe revisited, 1500-1900. Sources and methods with the data on which they based their reconstruction of cross-cultural migration rates (CCMR) in Europe in the period 1501-1900, published in 2009 in the Journal of Global History. This new Research Paper extends these data for Europe to the 20th century, following the same method.
