Der Freier Gedank

Der Freier Gedank [Free thought] was originally a weekly journal in Yiddish, published by the Jewish anarchist group in Paris since 1947. Joseph J. Cohen, who emigrated from the U.S.A. to France, was one of the editors until his death in 1958. His anarchist comrades in the U.S.A. subsidized the paper. In the course of time, when the numbers of Jewish anarchists in Paris dwindled, the journal had to reduce its size, and finally ceased publication in 1962.
