Woensdag 4 juni jl. werd de tentoonstelling Signs of Solidarity: the Dutch against apartheid geopend in het IISG-gebouw. Deze door Paul Faber samengestelde tentoonstelling bevat een groot aantal foto's, posters etc. uit de collectie van het IISG over de Nederlandse bijdrage aan de internationale solidariteitscampagne met de strijd tegen de apartheid in Zuid-Afrika. Tijdens de zeer goed bezochte bijeenkomst spraken o.a. IISG-directeur Henk Wals, publicist Roeland Muskes (over zijn boek "Aan de goede kant: biografie van de Nederlandse anti-apartheidsbeweging 1960-1990, uitgegeven door Aspekt) en de de Zuid-Afrikaanse ambassadeur in Nederland, Peter Goosen. De tentoonstelling is nog t/m donderdag 12 juni 2014 te zien op het IISG (werkdagen, tussen 9 en 17 uur).
On Wednesday, June 4 the exhibition Signs of Solidarity: the Dutch against apartheid was opened at the building of the International Institute of Social History. The exhibition, curated by Paul Faber, includes a large number of photographs, posters etc. from the collection of the IISH on the Dutch contribution tot the international solidarity campaign with the struggle against apartheid in South Africa. During the very well attended opening session, speeches were delivered by a.o. IISH-director Henk Wals, Roeland Muskens (author of a recently published book on the Dutch anti-apartheid movement from 1960 tot 1990) and Peter Goosen, South African ambassador in The Netherlands. The exhibition can be seen at the IISH up till Thursday, June 12 2014 (working days between 9 and 17 hrs).
