Woensdag 23 april jl. kwamen een stuk of 30 vroegere stafmedewerkers en vrijwilligers van de Eduardo Mondlane Stichting bijeen op het IISG ter gelegenheid van het gereedkomen van het EMS-archief enige tijd geleden. Een zeer geanimeerde bijeenkomst met ondermeer een rondleiding door het instituut, een discussie over de betekenis van het EMS werk vroeger en nu èn een uitgebreide borrel in een nabij gelegen café. David Sogge maakte foto's, waarvan hieronder twee getoond worden: archivaris Kier Schuringa geeft uitleg over het EMS-archief dat achter hem in de kast staat en de EMS-ers bekijken bij de algemene IISG-display een selectie posters en publicaties van de Mondlane Stichting.
Last Wednesday, April 23 approximately 30 former staff workers and volunteers of the Eduardo Mondlane Foundation (EMS) came together at the International Institute of Social History on the occasion of the completion of the archives of the Mondlane Foundation recently. A high spirited event, including a tour of the institute, a discussion about the significance of the work of the organisation in the past and now and drinks afterwards in a nearby pub. David Sogge made photographs, including the two shown above with archivist Kier Schuringa explaining about the EMS archives on the shelfs behind him and the visiters looking at some of the posters and publications produced by the Mondlane Foundation in the past.
