SEPHIS

The South-South Exchange Proramme for Research on the History o|f Development (SEPHIS) is an independent research programme under the aegis of an international Steering Committee consisting of researchers committed to South-South cooperation. The Steering Committee members are selected for a period of four years. The Steering Committee meets once a year to discuss the progress of the programme, new grant applications, proposals for workshops, lecture tours and faculty exchange, and the publications and translations.

The secretariat of Sephis was based at the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. As of October 2011, it is relocated in Manila .
